Organic Food Recipe - Chocolate Brownies

These organic chocolate brownies are fantastic. Preparation time takes less than 10 minutes so in under an hour you can have a delicious healthy snack ready for your kids.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup almond meal
1cup spelt flour
30g maccadamia nuts
25g organic butter (soften)
100g organic hazelnut spread
2tbs organic raw sugar
2 eggs

Method:
Mix altogether and spread out on lamington tin.  Preheat oven to 180 C and cook for 20min. Let them cool down for 10 minutes and serve them warm. Makes 8 brownies

I started making these organic chocolate brownies and I have had to stop because my husband, more than my children, has been eating them before they get cold. The organic spelt flour gives the choclate brownie a dense texture keeping the brownie really moist. The hazelnut gives a chocolate taste without the naughtiness of chocolate. For something and a little indulgent, serve warm with a dollup of organis cream on a chilly winters night.

Organic Recipe Rating:
Cost Rating - 3/5 - at a cost between 75c and $1 dollar per serve, this is a little on the costly side. But thinking about what you would spend at a cafe, they are still great value.
Preparation Rating - 5/5 - so easy to prepare I make them with my three year old.
Taste Rating - 5/5 taste soo good.

Overall Family Rating 8/10 - although a little costly, these brownies taste so great everyone will be asking for seconds. They are definately a treat worth making every now and then.
